Macbeth, Banquo, and Macduff; Is There a Hero - 1204 Words

William Shakespeare since the year 1590 has been considered one of the best -if not the best- writer in history. His plays touch on the emotions that have warped humans brains since the beginning of our creation. Macbeth, considered to be one of his finer productions, is no exception. In this tragic tale we find our main character so trapped in his own guilt and self pity that he ends up secluding himself from everyone around him, going insane, and eventually getting murdered. Macbeth has gone down in history as a very infamous character in literature, but he isn’t the only one that makes the story worth reading. Macduff gives into the wrath of revenge, but is only spared because everyone wants Malcom to be king. Macbeth has always been considered a â€Å"tragic† hero because he really does get sucked into something he just can’t get out of it. The poor man just keeps digging his own grave. The murder of King Duncan completely zaps him of all moral sense and in response, he feels like he has to keep killing so that he can keep his place on the throne. You end up feeling sorry for him. Though Macbeth doesn’t really do any good deeds that could rightfully define him as a hero, you still have to take into consideration what a great man he was before the witches prophecies. Macduff, though he kills the tyrant at the end and places Malcom on the throne, is still a warped individual. After his wi fe and children’s death it is probably no accusation when one assumes that the man has probably lost some of his marbles. There really was no logically reason for Macbeth to die. In all honesty, a better punishment would have been to dragShow MoreRelatedCompare and Contrast Macbeth, Macduff, and Banquo. How Are They Alike? How Are They Different?
